Nature in the Northwoods

You may be staying in a log cabin, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to do in the area.

Walking Trails on the Farm--ask us how to start and where to go. You can find blueberries in August, gorgeous fall colors in September, go extreme sledding in January...there's always something to do!

Visit the Forest County Chamber of Commerce for an overview of the area.

Camp 5 Train & Museum is open from the end of June to the end of August, plus a few weekends in Sept & Oct for fall colors.

The Nicolet National Forest website has information on hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing trails, as well as fishing areas.

Just 20 minutes away, Crandon has an International Off-Road Raceway.

The Laona Community Soup, one of the largest events in Laona, happens the first weekend of August at Silver Lake Beach. Be sure to check out The World's Largest Soup Kettle while in town.

And of course, Laona is a part of the 100 Mile Snow Safari for snowmobilers.

For Golfers, we have The Nicolet Country Club.

About 30 minutes away, in Carter, is the Potawatomi Northern Lights Bingo & Casino

Exploring the North is a website that provides all kinds of great information on activities and sights around Northern Wisconsin. There's even a Camp 20 Cabins specific page.

Feel free to give us a call or email camp20cabins@yahoo.com if you have any questions about local attractions. We do have two sets of snowshoes and limited sizes of cross-country skiing boots and equipment available for cabins visitors to use for free.
